STORY
EWV, also known as 8th Ward Villains, was a gangsta rap trio from New Orleans, LA.
They first appeared on 2 tracks off Lady Red self-titled debut EP in 1996. One year later, they released their only album through Hi-Powered Records, entitled "True Soldiers". It's one of those underground classics from NOLA, dope from beginning to the end (the song "Scope It Out" samples The Isley Brothers' "Between The Sheets" a many other rap acts & most notably the Notorious B.I.G. in "Big Poppa"). EWV didn't release anything else & disapeared in the late 90's...
