Willard Hughes

STORY

Willard Hughes (March 22, 1971 - October 5th 2017) aka Att Will was a Gangsta Rapper from Compton, CA. He was also affiliated with the Neighborhood Compton Crips, a local street gang.

He began rapping in the early 90's and recorded a few songs before his debut album in 1993 ("Where There's a Will, There's A Way", "Party's On", Nose Trouble", "Lock Up"...). He was also featured on 2 songs of Tweedy Bird Loc's first album, "187 Drive By", released in 1992, with the other members of his first group, Underground Connection.

In 1993, soon after the release of the single "Just Another Day In Compton", Att Will released his debut album, "Do It Att Will", on Big City Records. It is considered by many as a classic.

In 2011, he dropped a 2nd solo album, "Tha Return", still on Big City Records & was featured on the 2 albums of another group he was part of, Tha Wanted Gang ("Tha Gravediggaz" in 2010 & "Big Homie Muzic Volume 1" in 2011).

Att Will was a vet in the Rap Game & worked with a bunch of West Coast big names such as Tweedy Bird Loc, Bloody Mary, MC Eiht & Chill, Battlecat, Lil 1/2 Dead, Nate Dogg, OG Daddy V, Gangsta Dresta, RBX or Jayo Felony...

His 3rd album, called "The Compton Grind" was scheduled to be released in 2015 but for unknown reason it didn't. The October 5th 2017, he died from heart complications.
